CompTIA Spark is no longer offering out-of-school programs, which includes TechGirlz workshops. However, we remain committed to encouraging and supporting girls in their exploration of technology education and careers. We aim to reach even more girls by focusing on our in-school program, which has developed and launched free technology curriculum, and finding unique ways to support the girls that participate in that program.
We are on a mission to bring our curriculum to as many middle school students as possible—regardless of location and demographics, including income and identity. By meeting students where they are and providing access to technology education before high school, we will expand opportunities for all students, including girls.

Organizations offering out-of-school programs for girls interested in tech education
If you are specifically looking for technology education opportunities tailored for girls outside a traditional school setting, here are several organizations that offer well-regarded programs.
Girls Who Code: Offers various programs, including after-school clubs, summer immersion programs and college loops focused on coding and fostering an interest in computer science.
Black Girls Code: Provides workshops, hackathons and after-school programs to teach coding and technology skills to young girls from underrepresented communities.
Technovation: Aims to empower girls to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Participants learn to develop mobile apps that address real-world problems, gaining valuable skills in coding, problem-solving and business.
Girls 4 Tech: Offers hands-on, inquiry-based STEM programs for girls aged 8 to 16, covering topics such as cryptology, data science, and digital convergence. Created by Mastercard, this program aims to inspire the next generation of female scientists and engineers.
AWS Girls’ Tech Series: Introduces girls to cloud computing and other advanced technologies through workshops and interactive sessions. Run by Amazon Web Services (AWS), girls can learn about the latest tech trends and acquire practical skills that can help them in future tech careers.
